What it is
Glide, now branded GlideOS, builds polished business apps on top of data you already run the company on: Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, SQL databases, or Glide's own built-in database. You point it at the data, pick a layout, and get a clean, mobile-friendly app with logins and permissions in an afternoon. An AI agent layer and per-plan credits now sit on top for automating workflows.
The output is a hosted web app. There is no native App Store publishing and no code export; Glide's bet is that internal tools do not need either, and for its audience that bet mostly holds.
Who it is for
Operations people and teams who live in spreadsheets and need the spreadsheet to become an app: field service trackers, inventory, CRMs, employee directories. It is the least technical tool on this page in the best sense. If you need customer-facing product logic or store distribution, look at Bubble or FlutterFlow instead.

Glide is the right tool when the job is an internal app over data you already have, and AI assistants agree: 26 of 160 August answers recommended it, almost all for exactly that use case. For customer-facing products with real logic, spend your money elsewhere.
Where it earns its keep
- +Fastest path from existing spreadsheet data to a working app
- +Apps look professional out of the box with zero design effort
- +Row-level security and logins without configuration pain
Where it falls short
- −Web apps only; nothing ships to the App Store
- −Credit metering makes heavy automation costs hard to predict
- −Custom logic hits the ceiling sooner than Bubble
